Jessica Gillespie

Jessica Gillespie is a dynamic actor, publicist and producer whose passion for storytelling spans performance, art, and media. Known for her work as The PR Handler, Jessica expertly bridges compelling narratives with audiences through a variety of mediums, seamlessly orchestrating stories both behind the scenes and on camera.

Her credits include roles in films such as Pictures Only (Amazon Prime), Primary Positions (Amazon Prime), and Three Dates to Forever (Amazon Prime, Hulu, Peacock). She has also appeared in the sixth season of the acclaimed TV drama The Chi on Paramount and Showtime, and the 23rd season of the iconic procedural Law & Order.

Currently, Jessica is exploring the intersection of personal narrative and documentary filmmaking by capturing conversations and artistic expressions within narrative films, while also engaging in community organizing and creating content aimed at driving social impact. She is both a producer and narrator for the documentary, Priority Mail, directed by Chicago-based Iranian immigrant filmmaker Khosro Beik. The film delves into the disparities of basic services on Chicago's West Side and the repercussions of missing or non-functional federal mailboxes in West Garfield Park. Additionally, she led the publicity efforts for local film and media projects including the four-part documentary series Shame of Chicago, Shame of the Nation by Bruce Orenstein which examines housing discrimination and its impact on wealth gaps in Black communities throughout Chicago and narrative feature film, 'Tagged' from Kernel Productions which uncovers Chicago's little known history through the city's street art and mural scene.
